The Ideas Alliance CIC is a social enterprise aimed at promoting the benefits of collaborative, strengths-based and community driven approaches. The Ideas Alliance is a registered Community Interest Company incorporated in December 2016, company number 10517689. We are registered on the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) Register, registration number ZA718923.

We collect information when you:
- Subscribe for updates via our website
- Open and click links within emails from us
- Interact with us on social media platforms such as Twitter, LinkedIn or WhatsApp
- Book, register, and/or attend an event we are involved with
- Complete online surveys we conduct for ourselves or on behalf of others
The information we collect may include your name, email address, address, organisation, job title, IP address, region, links you click within emails, as well as your mailing preferences.
How we use your information
We collect this information in order to:
- update you on Ideas Hub and Ideas Alliance news, events, activity and projects as appropriate or requested
- check the quality and popularity of our activities
- help with planning improvements
- manage event bookings
- analyse responses to specific surveys conducted on behalf of others.
Who has access to your information?
We will not share your information for marketing purposes with other organisations or companies. We will never sell or rent your information to third parties.
We share information such as attendee lists to events, or survey responses with partner organisations who are working on those events or surveys with us and this will be clearly stated when entering your information.
When we conduct surveys on behalf of others, we share the analysis and report of the survey with the organisation we are working with. Again this will be clearly stated when entering your information.
We may use third party platforms and processers to manage events, conduct surveys and send newsletters. We currently use Mailchimp to manage the information provided by people who sign up for our updates on this website. You can read Mailchimp’s Privacy Policy here. We will only keep any personal information that you provide to us for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purpose for which you gave us the information. We will securely delete information when it is no longer needed for that purpose. We review the data we hold annually and delete as appropriate.
